About the Business
Jackson’s Catfish Corner represents four decades of culinary excellence, originally founded in 1985 by Woodrow and Rosemary Jackson, and revitalized today by their grandson, Terrell Jackson. Upholding cherished family seasoning blends and cornmeal-crusted frying techniques, Terrell returned Catfish Corner to the Central District at 23rd & Jackson.
Deeply embedded in the fabric of the Central District, Catfish Corner actively aligns with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.’s international initiative “Building Our Economic Wealth.” The diner regularly welcomes Delta Upsilon Omega Chapter members, community elders, and youth sports teams for fellowship gatherings, offering an exclusive Sisterhood Advantage amenity.
Serving legendary cornmeal-crusted Mississippi catfish fillets, jumbo fried prawns, hushpuppies, seasoned fries, and sweet peach cobbler, Catfish Corner is a beloved community stop during Seattle’s June Black Dollar Days. Guests are invited to stop by the Midtown location or order ahead online.
