Sacred Roots Birth & Postpartum Doula Care was founded by certified labor and postpartum doula Ayanna Watkins, CD(DONA). Dedicated to protecting and nurturing Black birthing people throughout pregnancy, labor, and the fourth trimester, Ayanna offers continuous bedside advocacy, somatic breathing techniques, and herbal postpartum recovery.

Serving families across King and Pierce counties, Sacred Roots operates at the vanguard of birth justice. Harmonizing with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.’s focus on “Building Our Economic Wealth,” Ayanna uplifts Black perinatal professionals and welcomes chapter families with an exclusive Sisterhood Advantage birth care discount.

Offering personalized birth plan consultations, continuous labor doula care, postpartum in-home meal and newborn support, and private childbirth education, Sacred Roots is an essential community service during June Black Dollar Days. Expectant parents can schedule free initial consultations online.
