That Brown Girl Cooks!

That Brown Girl Cooks! is the flagship culinary and catering house founded by celebrated Executive Chef Kristi Brown. For over three decades, Chef Kristi has blazed trails across the Pacific Northwest food scene, turning her deep Southern culinary lineage and culinary training into bespoke dining experiences.

Operating in the Central District at 24th & Union, That Brown Girl Cooks! works hand-in-hand with civic, corporate, and sisterhood foundations. Uplifting Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.’s international initiative “Building Our Economic Wealth,” Chef Kristi frequently caters regional chapter galas, youth fundraisers, and Divine Nine luncheons with tailored menus.

World-famous for her artisan Black-Eyed Pea Hummus, smoked salmon corn cakes, braised greens, and luxury banquet spreads, That Brown Girl Cooks! is an economic powerhouse during Seattle’s June Black Dollar Days. Event planners and chapter committees can book full-service catering consultations directly.
